Effectiveness of extraction procedures analyzing samples with incurred pesticide residues

Most of validation studies and proficiency tests in the field of pesticide residues in food of animal origin are performed by using spiked material, as you find low residues and few pesticides in general. The extraction effectiveness has a strong influence on the pesticide determination of a sample. Matrices need to be homogenized, crushed and extracted sufficiently in order to get no false negative or false compliant results.

The aim of this work is to compare the effectiveness of the different extraction procedures with samples containing incurred residues of pesticides. This report describes the results of quantification for incurred pesticide residues in food of animal origin applying different procedures for extraction and cleanup.
